All Done

2005-10-22

Browntown, WisconsinAfter about twenty-four hours of non-stop driving I arrived back on the farm. The trip is over. Most of my driving was done during the night, so I missed out on the landscape change. Morning brought cold rolling hills of farm land and fall's colored trees. It's quite a change from the flat desert and jagged mountains of New Mexico.

I used up exactly two months on this trip--one hiking in Florida and the other on the road. Swamps and deserts, seas and mountains, plains and forests, sweaty days and frigid nights. I did a lot and saw even more, but only scratched the surface of what's out there. So I shall be planning other trips, but that will be later, because right now I am beyond broke.

So it's time to return to normal life. I have to return to Richmond, find a job, search for a place to live and, basically, start over again from scratch.

I hope that the daily updates weren't too boring.

Later,

Dave
