Loess Hills

tl;dr: I biked a little through the Loess Hills to Mapleton and on to Onawa, Iowa.

I biked through the north part of the Loess Hills. They weren't very scenic, but they are a butt kicker to go up and down on, especially on gravel roads.

I arrived in Mapleton where I intended to get a hotel room. But the hotel was gone. The owner sold out and now a Dollar General stands there.

So I biked south against the wind to Onawa. Yeah, it was a pretty boring day.

good morning Iowa
