2015-10-04 tl;dr: I finished my trek through the cold in Chadron NE, where I can sit in a hotel as the weather turns nice. I still see bits and pieces of what looks to be a future extension of the Cowboy Trail. It all feels so pointless.Today's wind was much subdued from previous days, and the temperature slowly climbed as I biked my way west. There's not much to see again in this part of the country. Look, a few pictures. Unfortunately, my job dictates that I stop in Chadron, Nebraska, because that is the last town with hotels in the direction I am going. I stopped just as the temperature had climbed to something on the approach to pleasant. Now I get to sit in a hotel room as nice fall days pass me by. I do understand that this blog has been no fun to read, lately. It's not much fun to write. I can't wait until my job replaces me. I've grown extremely grumpy lately. I hope I'm not irredeemably so. On a positive note, my new bicycle tire seems to be holding up well. |
