2009-03-17 Interestingly enough, other than a very few fenced-in junkyard dogs, I have yet to be hounded by canines in Florida. In fact, unlike in Georgia and South Carolina, most domestic animals afford me very little attention as I cruise by. I'm not sure what influences this lack of motivation, but I suspect the humidity plays a part. Probably for the last time I found myself on A1A. I have previously commented on the lavishness of houses in the Jacksonville area. Other stretches have shown some amazing architecture. But Palm Beach...Holy cow! Once again I am in a hotel without internet. I am very frustrated, as the only reason I stopped in this rat trap is because it was supposed to have wifi. If it wasn't for my BlackBerry "patch" I'd probably be experiencing the shakes. I pointed out to the manager exactly what was wrong (DHCP server is screwed up) but received no help other than a blank stare and the requisite reboot. On the positive side I didn't have to fight the wind today.
