2009-04-16 Today was actually kind of boring again. The roads were nice. Traffic was relatively light, and I'm given lots of space. The constant green of Spring was refreshing, but reminded me more of home than anything. I think I may be nearing the end of this trip. There are definitely more places I'd like to visit, but I'm not sure if I want to spend days (weeks) biking there. But, then again, I don't have anything else to do. I still have time to think it over as there is no possibility of extraction before Mississippi. The only sort of interesting event today took place soon after climbing into my hammock. A wild pig came trotting down the trail almost to me before snorting loudly (a real pig snort--not a deer "snort") before rushing off into the brush and thrashing about a bit. Eventually it went away, but it was hard to tell when, because by this time the guitar-frogs were in full chorus.
