2009-03-31 I asked somebody today, so what's up with all these cats? "Man, this is the feral cat capitol of Florida. I don't know where they came from, but we caught 'em all and fixed them. Now we're just waiting for them to die." Apparently if you toss a fish on the ground, five cats will materialize. They run the gambit from "don't touch me" to "oh that feels good". I saw some guys metal detecting for tourist swag. It's hard to imagine the productivity of digging metal out of a parking lot. Today on the work front we had a major data meltdown. I think it's resolved now, but it was a high-profile, squeaky customer, so everybody had to have a say. It seems strange to deal with such stress on this island. Fire ant bites don't itch so bad the fifth day, but the marks are still there.
